Safety Instructions for Using a Band Saw

The saw machine uses a saw as a tool, through the reciprocating motion of a band saw or a circular saw's rotating motion tocutmark and divide wood. Common saw machines include band saws andcircular saws.Cuttinginjury accidents mainly include cutting injuries from the saw,saw bladebreakage and ejection, and impact injuries from wood, etc. Cutting injuries can be prevented by using safety protective devices and correct operation.
①The thickness of the band saw bladeshould match the corresponding band saw wheel. Avoid using a thick saw blade on a small wheel to prevent breakage and injury.
② The teeth should be sharp, and the depth of the teeth must not exceed 1/4 of the width of the saw blade.
③ The welding of the band saw blade should be firm and flat, with more than three joints, and the length between two joints should be more than 1/5 of the total length, and the thickness of the joints should be basically consistent with the thickness of the saw blade.
④ Strictly control the transverse cracks of the band saw blade; if the cracks are too long, they should be cut off and re-welded (see Table 1).
⑤ The running track of large band saw machines should be straight, with travel switches at both ends.Travel switch, and warning barriers should be set up on both sides of the running car.
